In 2021 the 5th edition of the FICX Industry Days, renamed FICX Pro, will be held from 22 to 25 November and will include a new edition of FICX Pro | LAB, created last year.
The activities dedicated to professionals have been extended in time with the new training activity FICX Academy, aimed at training young audiovisual creators to provide them with tools for the development of their projects during 2021 and 2022.

THE PROFESSIONAL DAYS
Aware of the need for a festival with the history and presence of FICX to include a stable programme of activities for professionals in the audiovisual sector, the current Festival Management decided to create the FICX IndustryDays in 2017.
The fourth edition, held in 2020 within the framework of a 58th FICX -run entirely online-, developed its activities under a new label: "FICX Pro" which has arised with the objective to continue the activities aimed at professionals beyond the dates of the Festival.
FICX Pro | LAB
2021 will see the 2nd edition of the FICX Pro | LAB initiative, aimed at filmmakers from Asturias with projects in the development phase (more than 20 received in 2020). The Lab will be divided this year into two categories: short films and feature films.
FICX Pro | LAB will once again offer a space for filmmakers and producers to present their projects to professionals from the sector and receive individual advice from experts.
FICX Pro | LAB is also one of the various initiatives that make up the Integral Plan for Audiovisual Creation promoted by FICX, which is complemented by training activities to reach a wider scope with the creation of FICX Academy.
FICX ACADEMY
A new educational initiative aimed at young Asturians started in 2021 in the frame of the variety of activities developed by FICX during the years.
FICX Academy is a training event held within a comprehensive plan to support audiovisual creation in the region, and for which the first stones were already laid in 2020 with the creation of FICX Pro | LAB.
A total of 42 teaching hours have been carried out in a series of conferences and workshops led by renowned professionals for 15 participants, all of them under 35 years of age.
