Take a trip to the world of art, nature and fun, without leaving Gijón/Xixón. Three of Gijón/Xixón ’s most emblematic facilities, the Aquarium, the Laboral Ciudad de Cultura and the Atlantic Botanic Garden, aim to offer the best of the city to all the AMPAs and associations, and to locals and visitors to the city.
Aimed at: associations wishing to spend a full day in Gijón/Xixón with their members.
PROGRAMME
10 am. Arrival at the Atlantic Botanic Garden. A guided tour through the trees and plants of the Atlantic world, showing the Garden from the different points of view offered by history, ethnography, gardening and landscaping through its valuable plant collections, bringing us closer than ever to Botanic science, as ancient as it is surprising.
12 noon. Arrival at the Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura. Guided tour starting at the Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial, passing through the Patio Corintio, stopping at the Square, the Theatre and the Church, and ending with the ascent of the Tower.
2 pm. Lunch. Free time if the group chooses to have lunch on their own, or transfer to the restaurant for lunch (there are two options to choose from: the restaurant at the Aquarium, or the one at La Laboral).
4 pm. Visit to the Aquarium (no guide). An experience that begins in a Asturian river and crosses the seas of the world to discover more than 2,000 cubic metres of water, 60 fresh and saltwater aquariums and some 5,000 specimens of around 400 species, including sharks, and sea turtles.
The order of the activities may change, depending on availability in the centres.

Advance booking is required, by the previously established deadline already stated. School groups or groups of minors must be accompanied by adults. We recommend 1 accompanying adult per 20 participants.
