On 20th November we will open the festival with a special programme of Carne Cruda in which we will bring together La Tarabica and Rambal, Rodrigo Cuevas and Pablo und Destruktion, Celia Viada and Ramón Lluís Bande. To the memory of Cimavilla, to the songs that give us goose bumps, to the filmmakers who remind us who we were and why we are like this today. To the past Xixón and the future linked by memories, to the keyboard of a Steinway grand piano, to a Jovellanos Theatre that is theoretically empty but more alive than ever, because we will all be sitting on the other side fighting to keep our spirits up.
And to close, the same: another walk through what we are, in this case from Manu Brabo's camera, with whose photos we have been saying good morning for more than two months. Manu is portraying Xixón through the eyes of the war correspondent who returns home in search of peace and finds himself in the midst of an unusual pandemic.
The result includes the glove launched by Marco Recuero with #ElDardoenlaMirada, the graphic image of this edition and gives us back a reflection of reality, belonging and pride. Three feelings captured in images that will be set to music by Esteban Girón, from Toundra, with his new project, Play As. The performance, on the 28th, will serve as a farewell, and also as a video clip paying homage to the Jovellanos theatre and the city. To you and to you. To the people of Xixón.
