Exceptional venues for traditional events

Cider is the ancestral drink par excellence in Asturias, and today it is one of our signs of identity.

Party and cider go together, they are inseparable. “Espichas” are celebrations whose origins are lost in the mists of time, but are related to the completion of work in the fields, which required people to come together and help each other

Party and cider go together, they are inseparable. “Espichas” are celebrations whose origins are lost in the mists of time, but are related to the completion of work in the fields, which required people to come together and help each other.

The espicha started life as a gastronomic feast celebrated to thank those who helped with the harvest, with people sharing cider from their own cider presses and the modest food they had in their homes.

For us, the espicha is an act charged with symbolism; it is an ode to joy, to companionship, and to community celebration, sharing cider poured in the traditional way while chatting sociably, without being subject to the limitations of any kind of protocol.
